Kids’ club, but make it Wauwatosa edition! When you travel to Wauwatosa with your whole family in tow, there’s so much to explore — especially, for the kiddos.

Don’t miss Tosa’s famous doughnut shop with an endless array of toppings, our iconic toy store that features new-school and retro games and toys, and, of course, the zoo!

The Best Things to Do With Kids in Wauwatosa

Milwaukee County Zoo

For a weekend packed with adventures for the little ones, you absolutely won’t want to miss the Milwaukee County Zoo. Filled with 2,200+ animals, the zoo is roaring with fun times for children and adults of all ages.

Tosa Block Party

Tosa Block Party, located just north of the zoo, is a toy store dedicated to LEGO® enthusiasts where kids and adults can build beyond their imagination. Be sure to book a reservation on their website before you visit.

Wauwatosa Parks & Skate Parks

Another way to air out the kids is at any of our Wauwatosa-area parks. From Hart Park to Hoyt Park, there are plenty of trails to take a stroll, fields to toss a ball, and even a skatepark to explore.

Pro tip: Phase2 Skateshop can hook you up with gear if it wasn’t on your packing list to bring with you!

If you’re traveling to Tosa during the summer, TOSA Pool at Hoyt Park is the ultimate way for kids to cool off during those warmer weather months. Complete with concessions, waterslides, and a playground in the pool, this attraction should certainly be added to your kid-friendly summer bucket list.

Football Bowling

For indoor adventures, check out 1st & Bowl, Wisconsin’s first-ever football bowling bar, filled with Basketball Connect 4, Football Bowling (of course!), and bag toss. This family-friendly destination also has an area for arcade games, board games, and Jenga.

Wauwatosa Toy Store

Every kid loves a toy store and, here in Tosa, we have some pretty spectacular spots. Ruckus & Glee in 68th & Wells is the perfect place to learn a new game, send a wind-up toy on its way, and build a new marble run.

Family Friendly Restaurants

There are countless places throughout our charming city that offer kid’s menus, so you won’t have a problem with pleasing the little ones! However, we wanted to share some of our favorite spots that we know the kids will beg to return to.

  • For Tosa’s famous doughnuts, a trip to Cranky Al’s is a must. The ultimate paradise for kids (and just about anyone with a sweet tooth), Cranky Al’s is the place to find candy-topped and cream-filled doughnuts.
  • Black Twig Bakery in Tosa Village also has some pretty sweet offerings. Their rotating menu of flavors and treats of the month keeps things fresh and exciting. They also have classics on hand, including ice cream cookie sandwiches, cake jars, and sugar cookies.
  • To break up the sweetness, head to Pizza Man for an epic selection of specialty pizzas made with Wisconsin mozzarella and organic, locally grown flour. Plus, the kids can create their very own pizza with an array of crusts, sauces, and toppings.
  • Last, but certainly not least, is Ted’s Ice Cream & Restaurant which serves up American classics from bacon and eggs to chocolate malts in its old-school diner. Order one of their creamy chocolate malts — served in the metal mixing cup it’s made in — for the ultimate ice cream eating experience.
